David M. Beach is an accomplished investment professional with a focus on corporate finance, specializing in energy, business products, business services, and technology. He founded Crestmont Investments in 2017, positioning the firm as a leading placement agent for select management teams seeking capital from family offices and private investors. Under his leadership, Crestmont has facilitated investments that contribute to a cleaner, safer, and healthier world. Beach has extensive experience in structuring and executing transactions that drive value creation, leveraging deep industry relationships and financial expertise. His strategic vision has been instrumental in the firm's success in advising and capitalizing growth-stage companies.

L. G. Schafran - Principal

Mr. Schafran co-founded Crestmont in 2018 following an extensive career, spanning over 50 years, in NYC real estate and capital markets. He is a highly qualified independent board advisor and certified as a Sarbanes-Oxley financial expert with extensive experience as board chairman and audit committee member for multiple corporations. Mr. Schafran holds BBA and MBA degrees from the University of Wisconsin where he also taught Corporation Finance and Modern Corporate Problems.

KEVIN R. FLYNN - managing director

Mr. Flynn joined Crestmont in 2021 following a career in investments serving institutional and individual investors. Prior to joining Crestmont, he worked at JPMorgan Asset Management as a member of the North American institutional product strategy team. He began his career at Ayco - a Goldman Sachs Company, working with high and ultra-net-worth individuals to construct and implement portfolios. He earned his MBA and BS in Business Administration from The College of Saint Rose and is a CFA ® charter holder.

emma b. Gharst - Research analyst & Director of AI

Mrs. Gharst joined Crestmont in 2024 following an extensive career with the Department of Defense in analytics and critical support for the U.S. Air Force. She is a graduate of the Elliot School at George Washington University.

C. James Schaefer Iv - strategic advisor

Mr. Schaefer joined Crestmont in 2025 as a Strategic Advisor following a distinguished career in private capital, international financial services, and public service. Prior to Crestmont, he served as Executive Vice President and Relationship Manager at Deltec Bank and Trust and as Chief Operating Officer of Old Fort Financial. He previously served as President of Accuvest Global Advisors. Earlier in his career, he held roles at the United States Department of the Treasury and the The White House, and served as Special Assistant to New Jersey Governor Thomas H. Kean. He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve and a recipient of the Airman’s Medal following the September 11 attacks. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA from Dartmouth College.
